SOLD! – Early Ladderback Rocker ~ Nelson County VA



  • Great early ladderback rocking chair

  • We think it dates from the late 1700s or early 1800s ~ The runners are held on by rosehead nails ~ Rest of the rocker is held together by wooden pegs
  • Made of mixed woods ~ Possibly chestnut & cherry
  • Was refinished long ago with traces of old paint ~ Has an oak split seat that is probably antique
  • Measures 44½” tall by up to 22″ wide by up 22½” deep ~ From Nelson County VA
  • Normal evidence of use, wear & age ~ Good Condition
