• Great antique rope bed that we found in Central Virginia
• Probably dates before the Civil War
• Made of mixed woods ~ Looks like cherry posts & poplar boards ~ Typical for period rope beds
• Wasn’t cut down
• Both the headboard & foot board measure about 5 feet tall ~ Bed is 52 inches wide
• Rails are about 70 inches long
• The rails attach with a twist into the headboard & foot board ~ No bolts were ever used
• Shows normal evidence of use, wear & age ~ Good Condition
